In a press release sent out by EA, it's been confirmed that the Australian and New Zealand release date for Crysis is one day earlier than that of Europe and North America. The press release reads as follows...
Sydney, Australia – August 3, 2007 – Electronic Arts Inc. (NASDAQ: ERTS) and Crytek, award-winning developers of Far Cry, today announced that Crysis (TM), will be hitting retail stores in North America and Europe on November 16, 2007, and in Australia on November 15, 2007 exclusively for the PC. A technical achievement featuring stunning DirectX 10 and DirectX 9 visuals, cunning gameplay, and an epic story, Crysis is one of the most anticipated PC games and first person shooters of 2007.
This is odd not only because Australia and New Zealand usually receive games later, but also because they have a timezone advantage. Theoretically, Australia will be playing Crysis almost 2 days before North America.
