For those getting prepared to play the Crysis beta, here's something to wet your Crysis buds. Crytek have released the PowerStruggle Beta Tutorial video to the public. The video will give you a basic run down of PowerStruggle, so when you play Crysis, you know what your objectives are.
Keep in mind that this video is of some age, so you may notice a few differences between what's seen in this video and what you see in the beta. Here's part of the press release...

Gamespot have just added 3 new gameplay videos, each with it's only little graphical tech demo which involves a freeze-frame labeling all the different graphical technologies. The 'Frozen' demo also demonstrates the frost shader which Crytek have been talking about since 'way back'. We've started seeing a lot of frozen gameplay lately, and it all seems to be of the same level. It got me thinking that maybe the 'huge surprise' in the demo is this frozen demonstration. Who knows, it's only speculation.

And we have a date, the 25th of September, 2007. This certainly gives Crysis fans something to look forward to over the upcoming weeks. It's also good that Crytek have given us a month's notice as the extra time will allow some of us to get new rigs. Thanks to Alex Marschal for sending out this great news. Crysis is coming off award-winning showings at the German Games Convention, picking up Best PC Game of GC honors from the panel of experts judging the show and from E3, where it also won the Game Critics Awards Best PC Game of E3 2007. The countdown to Crysis ends on November 16, 2007.
Gametrailers have managed to get the exclusive rights to a new super-uber-mega Crysis trailer which was leaked from GC 2007 in the form of an off-screen video a fews days ago (GameVideos.com since removed it). Who better to be given an exclusive HD trailer than GameTrailers.com who are well known for their very low bitrate HD videos. A 2 minute 1280x720 video shouldn't be smaller than 100mb. You gotta love that pixelation :-)

Gamestar have posted quite a nice Gameplay video which includes a full-length cutscene at the end. Crysis really is shaping up nicely as Crytek near the final development phase.

Esport.tv recently posted a Crysis developer walkthrough from GC 2007 in 3 parts. All parts were compiled into just one long clip for your convenience. On display is the first level once again, but it's made so much more interesting thanks to Sebastian Spatzek who does a great job of walking us through. You may download the compilation below. Not too long ago, Gamespot published the very first theatrical Crysis trailer. Unfortunately though, only paid subscribers got to view the HD version. CryTek have been kind enough to make this trailer available to the public in HD. The better news is that it's in even better quality than the version over at Gamespot, so even Gamespot subscribers will benefit from downloading and watching this version. Enjoy!
